Terran - Wall-inThis is a great strategy to use against Protoss, (it will work ok against Terran and Zerg though). It allows you to get a solid choke defence, then you can tech easily without interference. Note that this will 'only' work on a map where you have one choke point or ramp (IE: Lost Temple).
- Supply Depot on 8. Put at your choke.
- Barracks on 10. Put at your choke next to your Supply Depot.
- Build another Supply Depot at your choke next to your Barracks to finish off the Wall-in.
- Put one or two marines behind wall-in to kill any Zealots that attack it.
- Your Wall-in should look something like this:
Wallin will be different from map to map.

- Send an SCV to your enemy (you might need to lift your Barracks to get him through)
- When you find your opponent dont just let your scv die right away. Scout out his base looking for tech buildings, and be sure to pass by his natural if you can. Once you've seen what he is building. If he is building:
- Dragoons/Cybernetics Core: Tech straight to Seige Tanks, the dragoons long range could destroy your wall-in.
- If mass Zealots: This is ideal, the Zealots won't be able to get through your wall-in no matter how many there are. Once he finds out you walled in though, he will undoubtably tech, so get ready for some dragoons, air, or maybe a drop in the back of your base.
- If Citadel of Adun or Templar Archives: Get an Engineering Bay and Academy. Put some turrets around your base and get a comsat. He might be going for Dark Templar. Either that or he may be getting High Templar. If so, dont bother building infantry.
- If Robotics Facility: Lay Spider Mines all around your base especially the back of it and around your Command Center, he might try dropping you with Revears. Also get some Seige tanks.
- After you've succesfully countered his next attack you will probably want to expand. The rest is up to you.
