Terran - Heavy Metal
Heavy Metal is a term used when a terran goes for just vehicles and lots of vehicles (tanks, vultures, goliaths) with mabye a few infantry mixed in. This strat works great against Protoss, although not that good against Terran or Zerg. Infantry are better agianst them.
What I usually do is this:
- Supply Depot on 8.
- Barracks on 10.
- Very early Refinery (usually before barracks), put at least 3 SCV's on gas ASAP.
- Build Factory as soon as you can.
- Start building a few Vultures, then another Factory and put a Machine Shop on 1 of them.
- Pump tanks out of one of them and vultures out of the other.
- Get Armory to upgrade vehicles and build Goliaths for air protection.
- From here on you can build another Factory if you want, or mix in some infantry, it's up to you.
