In this section I will update with other animes of interest besides Dragon Ball Z. Some will be similar to Dragon Ball Z and some won't. This Anime has an amazingly complex storyline that will have you thinking through pretty much the entire 26 episodes and long after. It is a mecha type anime, and revolves around a teenager named Kamina Ayato. Aliens have captured a part of the Earth (the area around Tokyo), and have created a barrier around it which moves at a slower time than the outside world. The citizens inside (including Ayato) are brainwashed into thinking the rest of the world was destroyed, while outside, Earth organizations are fighting against the highly advanced Aliens and trying to save the citizens who've been captured.
This is a great mech anime. It far surpasses the old Gundam Wing. The animation is better, the storyline is great, and although the series still revolves around young teenagers piloting Gundams, overall it has a more mature and serious feel to it. The series is 50 episodes long and has a sequal called Gundam Seed Destiny, which picks up where it leaves off. This anime draws a good compromise between Dragon Ball Z type animes and the more serious, realism animes.
