Al Moser

Allen “Al” Moser is a Computer Information Systems instructor teaching both tech support and net support. Outside of the classroom he organizes internships for his students at Boeing, Providence Hospital, other medical organizations and more.

Dr. james Lawson

Rev. Dr. James Lawson spoke at EvCC in honor of the 45th anniversary of the removal of signs promoting segregation in the south. The event was held at noon and 7:30 p.m. on May 10.
Lawson is a prominent figure in the history of the civil rights movement. His non-violent approach to civil disobedience helped end segregation in the south. He has been called “the teacher of the civil rights movement,” because he trained so many people in his non-violent approach. Click for More.

Students of Color Conference

Five advisors and 32 EvCC students attended the 15th annual Students of Color Conference in Yakima, Washington, from Thursday to Saturday, May 5 - 7. This year’s theme was, “Keepin’ it Real, and Givin’ it Back.”
Each year, the Student of Color Conference brings together more than 400 participants. Most are students of color who are emerging leaders from Washington community college campuses. Over the years, the conference has evolved to provide students with key concepts of identity development, leadership skills, and resources that students of color need in order to have strength to persist and achieve their academic and career success.
